If you’re a BlackBerry owner and wish to obtain a lifetime Garmin Mobile license, well there is no better time than now to obtain it. For a mere $99.99, owners of GPS-enabled BlackBerrys will be able to enjoy the benefits of Garmin Mobile’s turn-by-turn, voice prompted directions as long as their smartphone does not give up the ghost. Other benefits include unlimited access to content such as traffic, weather conditions and forecasts, fuel prices and more. Bear in mind that this plan is not transferable between other devices, as Garmin is not running a charity but a business here.

Guess the Atom-powered Eee PC 901 won’t only come in iPod white if this leaked image of a black Eee PC 901 is to be believed. I wonder whether it has any fundamental difference between the colors inside, or is it just a cosmetic change. Well, all we can do now is wait until the June release date in order to find out the true color (pun not intended) of the black Eee PC 901.

Lacoste will be turning 75 this year, and this famous sports brand aims to be around a whole lot more by revealing a future version of the game. As you can see from the image above, the player will be wearing a facemask that allows him to see the outline of a virtual tennis court, while tech-infused clothing and player equipment look really appealing although I’m not quite sure how all these will make the game more exciting. I suppose should tennis actually evolve to such gear in the future, it won’t be so plain and simple as what it looks like since there will probably be sponsors’ images and logos making an appearance all over the place. Getting hit in the gonads with a tennis ball won’t be that excruciating an experience after all with this new tennis armor I guess.

- 5 megapixel autofocus camera
- 240MB internal memory

The privately released iPhone Software 2.0 Update features a bunch of new preferences as well as what is the beginning of geo-tagging support that integrates nicely into the magical cell phone’s Camera application. Build 5A292g as it is also know, will not ask the user’s permission in location-aware services such as “Maps” and “Camera” before transmitting data used to identify their current geographical location. Apple has also thrown in a toggle under the general preference pane which gives the option of enabling or disabling Location Services across the entire system. We ordinary mortals will just have to wait until sometime next month when iPhone Software 2.0 is released, hopefully alongside the 3G iPhone. Are you looking forward to both?

Talk about a multi-purpose USB hub - this model not only offers you connectivity options for another four USB 2.0 devices, it also features a warmer/chiller plate that helps keep your favorite beverage hot/cold no matter what the temperature is like in the room. Definitely an office-worthy gift for a new (or leaving) colleague, and the $25 price tag certainly makes it all the more appealing. If dad happens to work from home all the time, then he would certainly do well to own one of these too.

The Planilum light emitting glass is truly a device of wonder, taking up to 6 years to develop by Saazs and Saint-Gobain Innovations. The driving force behind this idea is to replace lamps and dedicated lighting fixtures by integrated these panels in order to use as illumination sources, doing away with the need to actually buy light fixtures. Planilum measures a mere 0.8″ thin and is made up of 4 layers of special glass, a rare gas and serigraphed phosphors. It comes with a rating of approximately 50,000 hours of use, which translates to approximately 20 years of average use. When they die, they are 90% recyclable so you don’t have to worry about adding more burden to the environment. It isn’t available for sale yet, but hopefully when it gets there, it wouldn’t hit bank accounts too hard.

Guess the Asus Eee PC has yet another rival in the form of the Bestlink Alpha 400, bringing the following to the table :-
- 32-bit XBurst 400MHz processor
- 7″ true color display at 800 x 480 resolution
- 128MB RAM
- 1 to 2GB of internal flash memory
- SD memory card slot
- USB connectivity
WiFi is optional, so you’ll need to purchase a dongle for that. The Bestlink Alpha 400 measures a diminutive 8.3″ x 5.6″ x 1.3″ and tips the scales at a mere 1.5 pounds. It will be powered by Linux, and will cost $250 as you choose from half a dozen colors. Of course, if you can find another 99 friends who wants one, the price will drop to $180.
